Beyonce Giselle Knowles – Everything You Need To Know

Beyonce Giselle Knowles simply known as Beyonce was born on 4th September 1981 in Houston, Texas. She is the lead singer in the world famous “Destiny’s child” group which sold over a 50 million records worldwide. She is a melodious American pop singer, song writer, record producer, actress and a fashion designer. As a child she was enrolled in dance classes including Ballet and Jazz. She was also exposed to singing and dancing competition. Her talent as a singer was brought to the fore front at her school level only.

While at school she was rapping and dancing with a group called “Girl’s Tyme”. Recognizing the talent of “Girls Tyme”, Arne Frager, West coast R&B producer debuted them in a talent show that was the biggest talent show at the national T.V at that time. Girls Tyme participated but lost the competition. It was the first professional set back for Knowles. She regained confidence later when she came to know that Britney Spears and Justin Timbulake has also suffered a set back in the initial stage of their carrier. Her father who recognized their talent left his job as a medical equipment salesman & dedicated his time training these talented girls. The group changed its name to “Destiny’s Child” in 1993.

The Destiny’s Child band is managed by her father Mathew Knowles who is a very strong influence in Beyone’s life.

The group has produced many Grammy award winning numbers; the group came into lime light in 1998 with the album “Destiny’s child”. Her group was discovered by Whitney Honston. The numbers that she has written and produced are smash hits like “jumpin jumpin”, “Bootylicious”, “Happy face”, and “Independent women”.

Knowles released her solo album “Dangerously in love in 2003” which had the numbers “Crazy in love” and “Baby boy”. This became the most successful album of the year and earned her Five Grammy Awards’. In 2005 the group “Destiny’s Child” was disbanded.

In 2006 came “B’day “which was again a big hit. In 2008 her third solo album “I am…Sasha Fierce was released. This album was a smashing hit. With this album she established another record, Six Grammy Awards, breaking the record for the most Grammy awards by a female artist in one night.

She has been honored by a total of 16 Grammy Awards “13 as solo artist and 3 as a member of Destiny’s Child”. That makes her the third among female artists with most Grammy’s. She won a BRIT Award for international female solo artist.

Knowles rejoined her co singers of Destiny’s child and released “Destiny fulfilled” in 2004 November. The group announced their disbandment and released a compilation album titled # 1’s.

Knowles acting career also took off, she played the role of Xania in the film “Pink Panther”. The film was a hit.

Later in 2005 she put her second album on hold & took up a role in Dream girls. She was nominated for two Golden Globe awards for this film.

Later in 2007 Knowles created history at the 35th Annual American Music Awards for being the first women to win an International Artist award.

In 2009, January she performed at the Lincoln Memorial Festivities in honor of the inauguration of Barrack Obama the 44th President of U.S. She has starred in a film thriller film called “Obsessed” which has been a commercial success.

She is going to release her 4th album sometime in 2010. She has been compared to Michael Jackson.

She and her mother have produced ready to wear contemporary women’s fashion line in 2005 called Dereon.
